We, JE Falkner and wife Rebeca J Falkner and WC Allison and wife Sarah Ann Allison all of the county of Humphreys and state of Tennessee, have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to JM Hooper and his wife Mary E Hooper their heirs and assigns forever for and in consideration of the sum of $200.00 dollars to us in hand said the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, two certain tracts or parcels of land lying and being in Humphreys County and State of Tennessee and in Civil District No 15 on the water of Big Richland Creek and bounded as follows, to wit:

First tract beginning at a rock corner with beech and red bud points immediately on the west side of the Waverly Road running thence south one hundred poles to a white oak; thence west forty poles to a stake; thence north twenty one poles to a stake; thence west forty poles to a white oak with two black oaks and a black gum pointers; thence north seventy nine poles to a black oak with a double white oak and a post oak pointers; thence east eighty poles to the beginning containing forty four and one half acres:

Second tract bounded as follows, to wit, beginning at a rock corner in the center of a large field, running thence south forty one and one half poles to a rock corner on the north bank of GB Colliers Mill Race; thence east with the meanders of the Mill Race thirty poles to a rock corner on the north bank of said race; thence south twenty nine and one half poles to a chestnut with two black walnut pointers; thence east thirty seven and one half poles to a stake with two black walnut points; thence north forty eight and one half poles to a sweet gum maple and ash pointers; thence west twenty nine poles to a rock corner on the west bank of GB Colliers Mill Race; thence north 15 degrees 30 feet east three poles; thence north 51 degrees 30 feet east nine poles and one half; thence north eighty four degrees east five poles to a rock corner; thence north eleven poles to a rock corner; thence west fifty one and one half poles to the beginning,

to have and to hold the same to the same JM Hooper and wife Mary E Hooper their heirs and assigns forever. We do covenant with the said JM Hooper and wife Mary E Hooper that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said tracts or parcels of land, have a good right to convey them and that the same are unencumbered. We further covenant and bind ourselves our heirs and legal representatives to warrant and forever defend the title of said two tracts of land and every part thereof to the said JM Hooper and wife Mary E Hooper their heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever.

I CJ Whittemore the duly elected qualified and acting clerk of the county court for the county and state aforesaid hereby certify that the foregoing an attached instrument of writing from JE Falkner and wife RJ Falkner et al to JM Hooper was on the 14th day of December 1877 fully acknowledged before my deputy Henry Georgy by JE Falkner & wife, RF Falkner to be their act and deed and the said RF Falkner wife of the said JE Falkner being examined by said Henry Georgy privily and apart from and without the hearing of her said husband and the nature and effect of the said instrument being by said deputy fully explained to her. She therefore again acknowledged the same to be her free and voluntary act and deed and that she signed and acknowledged the same without fear or compulsion and without undue influence on the part of her said husband and was willing the same might be recorded all of which appears to my satisfaction as from the hand writing and endorsement on back of said instrument in words and figures as follows. “ack in full by JE Falkner and wife Dec 14th 1877 all of which is hereby certified to the proper office for record.”

I, JE Falkner and wife Rebeca J Falkner of the County of Graves and State of Kentucky have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Newton L Sharp his heirs and assigns forever for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifteen dollars to me in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged two certain tracts of land lying and being in the County of Humphreys and State of Tennessee and in Civil District No 15 of the waters of Big Richland Creek and bounded as follows; to wit,
Beginning at a rock corner in the center of a large field the same being JM Hoopers north west corner running thence west forty two poles to a rock corner thence south cropping GB Colliers Mill Race at forty four and one half poles in all ninety nine poles to a black oak thence east passing JM Hoopers northwest corner of his timbered land it being a black oak with double white oak and post oak points in all one hundred and sixty five and one half poles to a rock corner with redland poplar and elm points, thence north twenty nine and one half poles to a rock corner continuing north forty eight and one half poles to a large red oak stump with maple and two poplar points thence west thirty four poles to a rock corner with maple and ash points thence south forty eight and one half poles to a rock corner with two black walnut points thence west thirty seven and one half poles to a chestnut with two black walnut points thence north eleven poles to a rock corner thence east six poles to a rock corner thence north to the edge of the road, thence west six poles to a rock thence north eighteen and on half poles to a rock corner on the north bank of GB Colliers Mill Race thence down the Mill Race with its meanders thirty one poles to a rock corner on the north bank of said race, thence north forty two poles to the beginning
One other tract of land bounded as follows, to wit, beginning at a white oak with two black oak and black gum points thence running south twenty one poles to a white oak thence east forty poles to a stake thence north twenty one poles to a stake then west forty poles to the beginning.
The two tracts containing sixty four acres and ten rods.
to have and to hold the same to the same Newton L sharp his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenants with the said Newton L Sharp that I am lawfully seized and possessed of said two tracts or parcels of land have a good right to convey the same and that the same are unencumbered. I further covenant and bind myself my heirs and legal representatives to warrant and forever defend the title of said two tracts or parcels of land and every part thereof to the said Newton L Sharp his heirs and representatives or assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever.

She again acknowledged before my said Deputy to be her free & voluntary act and deed and that she was willing the same should be recorded. We, JE Falkner and wife Rebeca J Falkner and JM Hooper and wife Mary Eliza all of the County of Humphreys and State of Tennessee have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to WC Allison and wife of said WC Allison and their heirs and assigns forever and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars to us in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Humphreys and State of Tennessee and in Civil District No 15 and on the waters of Big Richland Creek bounded as follows, to wit:

Beginning at a Poplar with Mulberry and Dogwood points, running thence south 76 poles to a Rock Corner on the South Bank of Big Richland Creek, thence down the creek with its meanders North 85 degrees West 30 poles to a rock corner on the south bank of the creek, thence South 54 poles to a rock corner in the center of large field, thence east 51 ½ poles to a rock corner, thence south 9 poles to the North bank of GB Colliers Mill Race, thence down the Mill Race south 84 degrees West 5 poles thence South 51 degrees 30 feet West 9 poles, thence South 15 degrees 30 feet, West 4 poles to a rock corner with a beech tree pointer, thence East 33 ½ poles to a rock corner with Black Walnut and Sweet Gum pointers, thence North 58 poles to a Dogwood with Black Oak pointers thence East 29 ½ poles to a rock with Black Oak and Sycamore pointers, immediately on the North side of GB Collins Mill Pond, thence North 91 ½ poles to a beech with Hickory Dogwood and Black Oak pointers, thence West 71 ½ poles to the beginning.

Containing Sixty Two acres and twenty three rods,

to have and to hold the same to the same WC Allison and wife Sarah Ann Allison their heirs and assigns forever:

We do covenant with the said WC Allison and wife Sarah Ann Allison that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said tract or parcel of land have a good right to convey the same and that the same is unencumbered. We further covenant and bind ourselves and our heirs  and legal representatives to warrant and forever defend the title of said tract of land and every part thereof to the said WC Allison and his wife Sarah Allison their heirs and legal representatives or assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever.

This indenture made and entered into this the 21st day of December 1874. By and between Neoma Latimer, WC Allison & wife Sarah Ann, JC Falkner & wife Rebecca J all of the County of Humphreys & State of Tennessee of the 1st part & John M Hooper of the County & state aforesaid of the 2nd part

The said Neoma Latimore, WC Allison & wife Sarah Ann & JE Falkner & wife Rebecca J hath this day for and in consideration of eight hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt is hereby acknowledged has sold and by these presents doth sell & convey unto the said John M Hooper two certain pieces or lots of land lying and being in the County of Humphreys, State of Tennessee, District No 15 of said County
First tract bound as follows, to wit:

Beginning on a large rock with beach, white oak & poplar points, beginning corner, thence east 72 poles to a Poplar with Mulberry White Oak & Ironwood points, thence south 91 ½ poles to a stake & a large rock on the south bank of Big Richland Creek, thence down the south bank of said creek with its meanders 33 poles to a large rock, thence south 47 ½ poles to a large rock in the center of a large bottom field, thence west 42 poles to a rock in Berry Colliers line, Thence North 128 poles to the beginning, containing forty seven acres, 3 rods & 10 poles.

Second tract beginning on a large red oak stump with a Maple & 2 Poplar points, thence North 58 poles to a Rock corner with black oak & Sycamore pointers, thence west 29 ½ poles to a Dogwood & Black Oak pointers, thence south 58 poles to a stake with Black Walnut & Sweet Gum points, thence East 29 ½ poles to the beginning, containing ten acres, 2 Rods, 31 poles,

to have and to hold the said tracts or parcels of land with its appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said John M Hooper his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Naoma Latimer & the said WC Allison and wife Sarah Ann & the said JE Falkner & wife Rebecca J hereby covenant with the said John M Hooper his heirs & assigns that they are lawfully seized & possessed of said land and that they have a good right to convey the same, And the said Neoma, WC Allison & wife and the said JE Falkner & wife doth warrant and forever defend the title to said land to the said John M Hooper his heirs and assigns against the claims of all person claiming under them or through them.

Rebecca Lattimer (1848-bef 1900)

Rebecca Lattimer was born in 1848 in Tennessee to WB Lattimer and Naomi [Last Name unknown].

She married Jefferson Falkner in about 1871 and probably in Humphreys County, Tennessee.

They were the parents of George Alfred FaulknerByrd Gregory Faulkner, Nancy Bessie Faulkner, LA Faulkner, and William J Faulkner.

On December 21, 1874 Rebecca and her husband, Jefferson Falkner, sold property in Humphreys County, Tennessee that was also owned by Naomi Lattimer, WC Allison, and Sarah Ann Allison. This was probably property bequeathed to Naomi (Rebecca’s mother), Sarah Ann (Rebecca’s sister) and Rebecca. A copy of the HumphreysTNDeedBookVPgs285-287 and a transcription of these pages is available to review.

On September 22, 1876 Rebecca and her husband once again sold property located in Humphreys County, Tennessee. They were probably living in Graves County, Kentucky at the time. The Deed shows additional certifications from the Clerk of the Court in Graves County, Kentucky. A copy of the Humphreys County, Tennessee Deed Book W, Pages 270-272 and a transcription of these pages is available to review.

On the same day Rebecca and Jefferson sold two other tracts of land which were recorded in HumphreysTNDeedBookW275-277. A transcription of these pages is also available.

An additional deed from JE Falkner and his wife, Rebeca J Falkner, is found in Humphreys County, Tennessee Deed Book W, Pages 436-437. A transcription of these pages is available.

She died before June 15, 1900.

Wilburne Edward Faulkner (1910-2001)

Wilburne Edward Faulkner was born on December 21, 1910 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to  Bird Gregory Faulkner and Florence V Ragsdale.

He married Lois Owens on January 11, 1943 in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma.

He died on March 12, 2001 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

George Howard Faulkner (1919-1919)

George Howard Faulkner was born on March 10, 1919 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to  George Alfred Faulkner and Maude May Weatherly.

He died in July 1919 in Muldrow, Oklahoma.

Woodrow Richard Faulkner (1912-1972)

Woodrow Richard Faulkner was born on February 16, 1912 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to  George Alfred Faulkner and Maude May Weatherly.

He married Dona Lee Wiles on July 3, 1940 in Yuma, Arizona.

He died on November 24, 1972 in El Centro, California.

Herbert Ray Faulkner was born on November 11, 1910 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to George Alfred Faulkner and Maude May Weatherly.

He died in 1911 in Muldrow, Oklahoma.

Clyde Joseph Faulkner (1907-1984)

Clyde Joseph Faulkner was born on April 7, 1907 in Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory to  George Alfred Faulkner and Maude May Weatherly.

He married Tennie Mae Lewis on September 21, 1925 in Moffett, Oklahoma.

They were the parents of Audrey U Faulkner, Hershel Faulkner, and Margie Lou Faulkner.

He married Goldie Pearline Brown on August 19, 1942 in Yuma, Arizona.

He died on November 11, 1984 in Success, Missouri.
