This indenture made and entered into on this 31st day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three between Johnithan Falkner of the county of Marshall and State of Mississippi on the one part and Abel Jackson of Humphreys county and State of Tennessee on the other part,
Witnesseth that the said Johnithan Fortner for and in consideration of the term of seven hundred dollars to him in hand paid or satisfactorily delivered over before the execution of these presents the reception of the same is hereby acknowledged hath this day bargained and sold and hereby conveyed and confirmed the transfer of the following tract or parcels of land to the said Abel Jackson duly noted as follows viz:
lying and situated within the county of Humphreys on Little Richland Creek and lined and bounded as follows viz:
One tract containing one hundred ninety one acres beginning at two Spanish Oaks & Two White Oaks & Chestnut pointers on the south side of said creek being at Belughs old original so west corner & running from thence 9 1/2 degrees west 423 poles to a stake & from thence west 92 poles to a stake & thence south 15 degrees east 428 poles to a stake in the south boundary line of the original survey & from thence East to the beginning the same being known as a part of David R Summery Survey and also another tract which the said Johnithan Fortner purchased of Wm B Morrow situated in said county & State and lying on same creek adjoining the first diverted tract and beginning at a black oak and hickory on Thompson East boundary line and running from thence East 70 poles to a Sugar Tree on Jacob Henson’s original or old line on the North bank of the Little Richland Creek & from thence north six degrees with 220 poles to a stake & from thence west seventy poles to a stake and from thence south six degrees east two hundred and twenty pole to the beginning being part of a tract which was conveyed by Abram Belew to Richard Anderson and from R Anderson to Elijah Rudolph & this last described tract containing by estimation ninety six and a half acres and in both said tracts or parcels of land together two hundred & eighty seven and a half acres be the same more overlap which said designated tracts of land the said Johnithan Fortner hath by the foregoing and after presents sold & conveyed to the said Abel Jackson together with all and everything thereon and thereto appertaining of whatsoever kind and binds himself & his heirs executors & administrators to warrant & defend the benefits rights & title of the same to the said A Jackson & his heirs executors administrators or assignees forever from the lawful claiming or claims of any & all persons whomsoever.
In witness whereof he the said Johnithan Fortner hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal on this day & date first written.

I John Falkner bind myself to pay Abel Jackson the sum of fourteen hundred dollars –
The condition of this obligation is such, that whereas the said Abel Jackson purchased of me for seven hundred dollars on the following payment, to wit, three hundred and fifty dollars on the first day of January 1842 and three hundred and fifty dollars on or before the first day of January 1843 for which his notes under seal have been this day executed to me –
Two tracts of land in Humphreys County, Civil District No 1, and in the State of Tennessee, on both sides of Little Richland Creek, bounded by the lands of Jacob Hinson above and Anderson Dunlap below, one of said tracts containing one hundred and ninety one acres, and the other containing ninety acres be the same more or less – It be the same land –
The first mentioned tract conveyed by John Thompson and the second by William B Morrows to Jonathan Falkner –
Now if I should make or cause to be made to the said Abel Jackson his heirs or assigns a good and sufficient title in fee simple with general warranty to said tracts of land, on the making the last payment then this obligation to be void

This indenture made this tenth day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty between Johnathan Falkner of the State of Tennessee and Humphreys County of the one part and Samuel Hemby of the state and county aforesaid of the other part
Witnesseth that the aforesaid Falkner for and in consideration of sum of two hundred dollars in hand paid by the aforesaid Hemby the receipt of which he doth hereby acknowledge himself therewith fully satisfied hath bargained and sold unto the aforesaid Hemby a certain tract or parcel of land situate in the county aforesaid on Little Richland Creek and bounded as follows
Beginning at a hickory in the south boundary line of said Falkner original tract and about thirty poles east of a branch of said Little Richland Creek running south one hundred and twenty two poles crossing said branch at one hundred poles to three maples thence west sixty seven pole to a chestnut & hickory trees north one hundred and twenty two poles to a black gum thence east sixty seven poles to the beginning containing fifty one acres
to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land with all its appurtenances to himself his heirs or assigns forever and the aforesaid Johnathan Falkner for himself his heirs executors administrators covenants to and with the aforesaid Samuel Hemby that the above named and bargained premises he will warrant and forever defenct to him the aforesaid Samuel Hemby his heirs executors administrators or assigns against the legal claims of all persons what so ever in testimony of which he the aforesaid Johnathan Falkner has here unto set his hand and affixed his seal the day & date above written

To all to whom these presents shall come – Greetings.
Know ye, that by virtue of entry No 649 dated the 8th day of October 1832 made in the entry takers office of Humphreys County in pursuance of an act of the General Assembly of said state passed on the ninth day of January one thousand eight hundred and thirty
there is granted by the said State of Tennessee, unto Jonathan Falkner
a certain Tract or Parcel of land, containing one hundred and forty two acres by survey bearing date the 12th day of October 1832 lying in said county,
On Little Richland Creek and bounded as follows to wit
Beginning at a White Oak and Small lowerwood in Wm B Burray’s east boundary and running east two hundred and sixty five poles to Black Gum and Small Hickory in lowerwood in two littles west boundary and thence south [?] and seventy seven poles to a large White Oak thence west one hundred and thirty poles to a stake to north west corner of an entry of 50 acres in the name of Rice Heams thence with an west boundary line of said entry south sixty three poles to an Elm and Sugartree in previous with boundary thense west with previous line 14 poles crossing the creek at 12 poles to a [? ? ?] & Sycamore in the said Falkner east boundary thence north crossing the creek at 4 poles in [?] 40 poles to a White Oak Falkner NE corner thence west 81 poles to the SE corner of tract of 5 acres in the name of Wm Murry thence north 20 poles to a Stake that E corner of sd 5 acres thence west 20 poles to a stake in Wm Murrays E boundary thence north 80 poles to the beginning
With the hereditaments and appurtenances. To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land, with its appurtenances, to the said Jonathan Falkner and his heirs forever.
In witness whereof, William Carroll, Governor of the State of Tennessee, hath hereunto set his hand, and caused the great seal of the State to be affixed, at Nashville, on the June day of first in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty five and of the Independence of the United States the fifty nineth.

This indenture made this the thirty first day of Oct in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight between WB Morrow of the State of Tennessee and county of Madison of the part and Jonathan Falkner of the State aforesaid of the County of Humphreys of the other part.
Witnesseth, that the said WB Morrow for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and forty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given, granted, bargained sold and conveyed unto him the said Jonathan Falkner, a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the County of Humphreys and State aforesaid on Little Richland creek
Beginning on a Black Oak and Hickory on Thompson east boundary line east seventy poles to a sugar tree on Jacob Hansons line on the north bank of Richland creek: thence north six degrees west two hundred and twenty poles to a stake, thence west seventy poles to a stake thence south six degrees east two hundred and ? poles to the beginning having a part of a tract conveyed from Abram Belliam to Richard Anderson from to Elijah Rudolph containing according to estimation ninety six and a half acres be the same more or less
To Have and to Hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land with all the proper endorcements appurtenancy and advantages there unto belonging or therfrom arriving and he the said WB Morrow for himself his heirs executors and administrators will warrant and forever defend the before recited land and bargained premises against all lawful claim or claims whatever unto the said Jonathan Falkner his heirs or assigns forever

Personally appeared before me James Teas, Clerk of the county court of said County, John Falkner, with hom I am personally acquainted a subscribing witness to the within deed of conveyance and first being duly sworn deposseth and saith that he is personally with William B Morrow the within named bargainor and that he saw him sign seal and deliver the within deed of conveyance from William B Morrow to Jonathan Falkner for ninety six and a half acres of land and that it was on teh same day it bears date he believes and that William B Murray the other subscribing witness to the within deed of conveyance si not an inhabitant of this State.

This indenture made the twenty second day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty seven between William Mills of the State of Tennessee and Humphreys County of the one part and Jonathan Falkner of the State and County aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the aforesaid Mills per and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars in hand paid by the aforesaid Falkner the receipt of which he hath hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully satisfied hath bargained and sold unto the aforesaid Falkner a certain tract or parcel of land situate in the County aforesaid on Little Richland Creek and bounded as follows
Beginning at a Hickory in the south boundary linne of said Falkners original tract and about thiry poles east of a Branch of said Little Richland Creek running South one hundred and twenty two poles crossing said creek at one hundred poles to three Maples, thence west sixety seven poles to a Chesnut and Hickory, thence north one hundred and twenty two poles to a Black gum thence east sixty seven poles to the beginning containing fifty one acres
To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land with all its appurtanances to himself his heirs or assigns forever
And the aforesaid William Mills for himself his heirs executors or administrators covenants to and with the aforesaid Jonathan Falkner that the above named land and bargained premises he and they will warrant and forever defend to him the aforesaid Jonathan Falkner his heirs executors administratos or assigns against the legall claims or claims of all persons whatsoever

This indenture made the eighteenth day of September 1824 between John Thompson of the County of Humphreys in the State of Tennessee of the one part and Jonathan Falkner of the same county and State of Tennessee that the said John Thompson for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said Falkner the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained sold, attained, conveyed and confirmed unto him the said Falkner a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being on the Little Richland Creek in said county containing one hundred and ninety one acres beginning at two Spanish Oak, two white oaks & ? pointing on the south side of said creek, Bilgrees south west corner, running north nine and a half degreees west four hundred and twenty three pols, to a stake thence west ninety two poles to a stake thence south fifteen degrees east four hundred & twenty eight poles to a stake in the south boundary line of the original survey thence east to the beginning, being a part of Daniel R Sumner Survey together with the herediataments and appurtenances of in and to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use benefit and behalf of him the said Jonathan Falkner by him ? administrator, or assign forward and I the said John Thompson do convey and assign to and with the said Falkner that the before ? land and bargained premises he will warrant and forever defend to him the said Falkner his heirs and assigns forever from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons in ? whereof the said John Thompson have hereunto set by hand and assigned by seal this day and date above written.

To all whom these presents shall come greeting
Know ye that in consideration of military service performed by William Skinner to the State of North Carolina, warrant No 149 dated the 30th day of November 1807 and entered on the 12th day of May 1808 by A# 1700 there to granted by the said State of Tennessee unto Jonathan Falkner assignee of the heirs of the said William Skinner a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres, post of said Warrant, lying in Stewart County in the forth district on Little Richland Creek of Tennessee River beginning at a Spanish Oak and Ash in the fork of branch marked “J” running east one hundred & seventy nine poles to a White Oak, thence south eighty nine poles and one half poles to a hickory, thence north eighty nine and one half poles to the Beginning, surveyed the 16th day of July 1808 by Dawdey Hason DS with the hereditaments & appurtenances –
To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with it appurtenances, to the said Jonathan Falkner & his heirs forever –
In witness whereof, Willie Blount Governor of the State of Tennessee hath hereunto set his hands & caused the great seal of the State to be affixed at Knoxville on the second day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred & eleven, & of the Independence of the United States the thirty sixth

To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting.
Know ye, that by virtue of part of warrant No 227 dated the 14th day of May 1813 issued by the Secretary of this State to Samuel D Jackson and entered on the 18th day of September 1810 by No 5119
There is granted by the said State of Tennessee unto Jonathan Falkner assignee of the said Samuel Jackson
A certain tract or parcel of land, containing twenty four acres by survey bearing date the 3rd day of November 1813 lying in Humphrey County in the First District on Little Richland Creek of Tennessee river and bounded as follows to wit:
Beginning at a Spanish Oak and Ash marked “J” the beginning corner of said Falkner’s tract of land he now lives on runs west sixty nine poles to a stake in the creek thence sourth fifty five poles and half to a Black Gum thence east sixty nine poles to a Poplar thence north fifty five and a half poles to the beginning.
With the hereditaments and appurtenances – to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with the appurtenances to the said Jonathan Falkner and his heirs forever. In witness whereof Willie Blount, Governor of the State of Tennessee hath hereunto set his hand and caused the great seal of the State to be affixed at Nashville on the 22nd day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen and of the independence of the United States, the forteith.

Elizabeth Plant (1816-1893)

Elizabeth Plant was born in 1816 in Tennessee to William Plant and Nancy Collier.

She married Alexander Faulkner in about 1835 in Waverly, Tennessee.

They were the parents of Jefferson E Faulkner, Elizabeth Hester Faulkner, William J Faulkner, Narcissa Edell Faulkner, Alfred Faulkner, and Harrison Faulkner.

She died in July 1893 in Wingo, Kentucky.
