Arthritis Pain Ointment

I had several small quantities of several experiments that I unwisely mixed together. A few days later I talked to Dave about one experiment I had tried to help ease his arthritic knees. During this conversation I began to wonder if my thrown together concoction could possibly have the elements that were needed to help with his pain. Dave agreed to try it out, yet neither of us expected results. Within one week Dave was pain-reliever free. My challenge was rebuilding the trash bin concoction. After several tries we both agree that the following absolutely works to ease joint pain.

  1. Melt together the following ingredients in a crock-pot
  • ½ cup Cocoa Butter
  • 1 cup Coconut Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Beeswax
  1. Remove crock from heating element and place in the refrigerator for a couple of hours or until solid.
  2. Using a hand mixer, whip the solid oils.
  3. Blend in the following ingredients well.
  • 2 Tbsp Hazelnut Oil
  • 2 ½ Tbsp Aloe Vera Gel
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 50 drops or 2 ½ ml Lavender Essential Oil
  • 25 drops or 1 ¼ ml Wintergreen Essential Oil
  • 25 drops or 1 ¼ ml Eucalyptus Essential Oil
  • 23 drops or 1 1/8 ml Peppermint Essential Oil
  • 5 drops or ¼ ml Juniper Essential OIl
  • 3 drops or 1/8 ml Cypress Essential Oil
  • 3 drops or 1/8 ml Cinnamon Essential Oil

Hair Growth Serum

After getting a couple of bad perms in a row, I decided I needed something to make my hair grow faster. I was a little skeptical, but I have honestly seen results. When I began using this serum, I would drench my hair in the oil and then sleep in it. Oil and water don’t mix, so this serum should be used on dry hair.

Mix together well. Spread throughout hair shaft, making sure to get plenty at the roots. Leave on for at least 30 minutes. Hair will be somewhat unmanageable for a couple of days, but I have witnessed results.

  • 5 oz Camelia Oil
  • 2 oz Hempseed Oil
  • 1 oz Coconut Oil
  • 1 oz Rosemary Essential oil
  • 5 ml Geranium Essential oil
  • 5 ml Lavender Essential oil
  • 5 ml Peppermint Essential oil

Pain Relief Rub

As I was recovering from a severely sprained ankle and broken leg, I decided to find a topical essential oil solution that would help me with the pain. This gentle pain reliever has become a part of my medicine cabinet that I turn to after a good workout at the gym or a sore shoulder from carrying babies or shoulder bags for too long. On winter days I enjoy using it as I get out of the shower just because it provides a relaxing warmth I have not been able to find in over the counter lotions.

Add the following essential oils to as much as 1/2 cup to 1 cup of your favorite carrier oil combination.

1 ml Lavender Essential Oil

.5 ml Eucalyptus Essential Oil

.5 ml Peppermint Essential Oil

.5 ml Wintergreen Essential Oil

Grandma’s Youth Serum

At 52 years old I looked into the mirror and realized that my complexion was worst then it had ever been. High priced creams and lotions and balms and salves had not given me the results that I had thought I purchased. I changed a lot of what I had been doing, including purchasing items that made promises from companies that I didn’t really know. Grandma’s Youth Serum I now use every night before going to bed. I don’t cover it with any other moisturizer. I just throw about 2 teaspoons of the serum on my face and crawl between the sheets.

2 Tbsp Avocado Oil

1 Tbsp Argan Oil

1 Tbsp Coconut Oil

.5 ml Frankincense Essential Oil

.5 ml Melaleuca Essential Oil

.25 ml Vitamin A Oil

Mix above ingredients together in a 2 fluid ounce bottle with an eye dropper. When purchasing eye droppers, purchase several. Essential oils will eat away and erode the rubber, so the eye droppers will need to be replaced about every 6 months.

After washing your face at night, fill an eye dropper about half full. Squeeze dropper into hand and spread serum over face.
