This indenture made and entered into on this 31st day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three between Johnithan Falkner of the county of Marshall and State of Mississippi on the one part and Abel Jackson of Humphreys county and State of Tennessee on the other part,
Witnesseth that the said Johnithan Fortner for and in consideration of the term of seven hundred dollars to him in hand paid or satisfactorily delivered over before the execution of these presents the reception of the same is hereby acknowledged hath this day bargained and sold and hereby conveyed and confirmed the transfer of the following tract or parcels of land to the said Abel Jackson duly noted as follows viz:
lying and situated within the county of Humphreys on Little Richland Creek and lined and bounded as follows viz:
One tract containing one hundred ninety one acres beginning at two Spanish Oaks & Two White Oaks & Chestnut pointers on the south side of said creek being at Belughs old original so west corner & running from thence 9 1/2 degrees west 423 poles to a stake & from thence west 92 poles to a stake & thence south 15 degrees east 428 poles to a stake in the south boundary line of the original survey & from thence East to the beginning the same being known as a part of David R Summery Survey and also another tract which the said Johnithan Fortner purchased of Wm B Morrow situated in said county & State and lying on same creek adjoining the first diverted tract and beginning at a black oak and hickory on Thompson East boundary line and running from thence East 70 poles to a Sugar Tree on Jacob Henson’s original or old line on the North bank of the Little Richland Creek & from thence north six degrees with 220 poles to a stake & from thence west seventy poles to a stake and from thence south six degrees east two hundred and twenty pole to the beginning being part of a tract which was conveyed by Abram Belew to Richard Anderson and from R Anderson to Elijah Rudolph & this last described tract containing by estimation ninety six and a half acres and in both said tracts or parcels of land together two hundred & eighty seven and a half acres be the same more overlap which said designated tracts of land the said Johnithan Fortner hath by the foregoing and after presents sold & conveyed to the said Abel Jackson together with all and everything thereon and thereto appertaining of whatsoever kind and binds himself & his heirs executors & administrators to warrant & defend the benefits rights & title of the same to the said A Jackson & his heirs executors administrators or assignees forever from the lawful claiming or claims of any & all persons whomsoever.
In witness whereof he the said Johnithan Fortner hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal on this day & date first written.

I Gordintia Waite, Clerk of the Probate of said county hereby certify that DM Young before whom the within deed was acknowledged and whose certificate of such acknowledgement appears above is and was on the date of his said certificate an acting Justice of the Peace in and for Marshall County aforesaid duly commissioned and qualified and that due faith and credit are due to any act done by him in his official capacity.

Then was the within named deed of conveyance from Johnithan Fortner to Abel Jackson with the certificates of probate and registration duly registered in said office in Book G pages 497-498 & 499 said deed was received for registration near 3 o’clock PM and in Book A page 31.
