Rachel Elizabeth McClure was born in 1896.

She married Vodie Jefferson Butler on October 20, 1912.

They were the parents of Harrison Philip Butler, Novella Butler, Paul Jefferson Butler, and Jack Lonzo Butler.

She died in 1991 in Graves County, Kentucky.
