Mrs. Novella Henderson, age 97, of Mayfield, KY, died at 9:15 PM Friday, May 8, 2015, at the Green Acres Healthcare Facility in Mayfield. Novella was a member of Northside Church of Christ. She was a china buyer for Famous Barr in St. Louis. Prior to that she worked at the Pottery and as a waitress at the Steak House and was the former owner of the Wingo Café.

She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Jerry) Jones of Anchorage, AK; grandchildren ’96 Jerry N. Jones of Denver, CO; Robert Jones of Willow Spring, NC; Larry Jones of Anchorage, AK; and Teresa Jones of Jackson, TN; 9 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Henderson, and her brothers, Phillip Butler, Paul Butler, and Jack Butler. She was the daughter of the late Vodie J. & Rachel McClure Butler.

Funeral Services for Novella will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield. Mike Tucker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery in Hickman County. Friends are invited to call after 9:30 AM on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.

Pallbearers will be Robert Jones, Jerry N. Jones, Milton Cochrum, Billy Satterwhite, Andrew Herndon and David Butler.
