He married Alice Frances Mills.

Eddleman Services To Be Held Sunday At Church In City
Funeral services for James Franklin Eddleman, 86, 2620 Auburn St., will be held at 3:30 pm Sunday at Pioneer Memorial Methodist Church.
The Rev SH Salley, pasotr, will officiate, assisted by the Rev Wallace Kirby, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Stanton, and Dr CA Bickley of Lubbock.
Burial will be in Tech Memorial Park under dirction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Spanish-American Vet
A veteran of the Army in the Spanish-American War, Eddleman died Thursday night in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Big Sprng where he had been hospitalized a month.
Born in 1871 near Joshua, in Johnson County, he attended Baylor University and taught school in Johnson and Deaf Smith counties prior to 1905.
Following his marriage to the former Miss Alice Francis Mills of Mangum, Okla., Eddleman took up farming at Hereford to return to Joshua where he farmed until l1923, when he moved to Lubbock County. He retired as a farmer in 1929 and moved to his present home inLubbock.
After his retirement as a farmer, Eddleman entered the real estate business.
Former Demo Official
A trustee and charter member of Pioneer Memorial Methodist Church, Eddleman was active in affairs of the Spanish-Amerian War Veterans’ organization and in politiacl affairs. He served 18 years as Democratic Party precinct chairman.
Survivors include his widow: one son, W Frank Eddleman, 2624 Auburn St.; three daughters, Mrs L Edwin Settle, 2710 55th st, Mrs Charls I Waller, 2410 6th St, and Mrs W Wilson Martin, 2620 Cornell St., all of Lubbock; two sisters, Mrs George C Wicker of Joshua and Mrs Ettie Daniel of Glen Rose; three brothers, Columbus E Eddleman of Cleburn, Reginald N Eddleman of Dalls and Earl H Eddleman of Fort Worth; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren
