Graveside services for Cleta Morton Bell, of Lubbock will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at the City of Lubbock Cemetery with Pastor David Menefee officiating. She passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008. Cleta was born on Dec. 9, 1931, in Sanger to parents, D.R. Morton and Minnie (Strickland) Morton. She married Forrest Eugene Bell on Feb. 14, 1948, at the First Nazarene Church in Lubbock. Cleta Bell was a homemaker and acted as bookkeeper for Forrest Bell Masonry. She was blessed with two daughters, Donna White and Debra Henry; and one son, David Bell, all of Lubbock. Her greatest joys were her children, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children; a sister, Almeda Smith of Waco; and a brother, D.R. Morton of Troutdale, Ore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Bell; and Clinton White, a grandson. Cleta was a Christian and a loving mother.
