She married Vodie Denton Russell on September 14, 1940 in Sedalia, Kentucky.
She died on February 22, 1977 in Union City, Tennessee.

Annie Grace Belle Garrigus, born March 21, 1917 in Graves County, Kentucky was the third child of James Bedford and Laura Mae (Butler) Garrigus. She was baptized at Mt Pleasant Church of Christ in 1931 and married Vodie Denton Russell on September 14, 1940 in Sedalia, Kentucky. Gracie was a seamstress at Curlee Clothing in Mayfield, Kentucky. She died on February 22, 1977 in Obion County, Tennessee after an extended illness. She lived in the home of her younger son until her death.
Vodie (born February 24, 1905 in Graves County, Kentucky – died January 22, 1973 in Graves County, Kentucky) was a farmer and also worked for the state highway department. His parents were Robert Edward Russell and Nora Lee Short. He was also a member of Mt Pleasant Church of Christ.
They had two sons. The oldest son was Robert Denton Russell, born on February 12, 1943 and now lives in Nashville, Tennessee. His first marriage was to Loretta Faye Williams in 1961. Their children are Craig Stephen Russell, Tina Michelle Russell, and Angela Dawn Russell.
The second son was Larry Boaz Russell who was born on February 2, 1947 in Graves County, Kentucky and now lives in Union City, Tennessee. He married Joyce Kay Shannon on September 4, 1971 in Obion County, Tennessee. Their children are Charles Bradley Russell and Jeanne Lynn Russell. (Submitted by Laura Garrigus Davis)

Mrs. Gracie Bell Russell, a former resident of Graves County who had been making her home in Union City, Tennessee, died Tuesday afternoon at the Obion County Hospital in Union City. She was 59 years of age, and the widow of Vodie Russell.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Boaz Russell, of Union City, and Robert Denton Russell, of Saudi Arabia, two brothers, Vodie Garrigus of Wingo and James Garrigus of Lone Oak, and a sister, Miss Ila Garrigus, also, of Lone Oak. Five grandchildren survive.
The funeral is tentatively set for Friday. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hopkins and Brown Funeral Home in Wingo, KY.
